BRILUMD® – Official Return and Refund Policy

Effective Date: October 15, 2025 
Applies To: All purchasers of BRILUMD® products within the Republic of the Philippines.

Article 1: General Policy Statement

BRILUMD® (“the Company”) is committed to providing high-quality LED lighting products. This Policy is formulated in compliance with the Consumer Act of the Philippines (Republic Act No. 7394) and governs all product returns, refunds, and exchanges. This document outlines the terms, conditions, and procedures applicable to all products sold through the Company’s authorized distributors, retail channels, and official online platforms.

Article 2: Voluntary Returns for Non-Defective Products

While not legally obligated under the Consumer Act of the Philippines (R.A. 7394) to accept returns due to incorrect product selection, incompatibility, or similar “change of mind” scenarios, the Company, as a gesture of customer satisfaction, may accept such voluntary returns at its sole discretion.

To be considered for a voluntary return, the following conditions must be strictly met:

  • 2.1. Timeframe: The return request is initiated within thirty (30) calendar days from the original date of purchase.
  • 2.2. Product Condition: The Product must be in a pristine, resalable condition, defined as being unused, unopened, undamaged, and in its complete original packaging, with all accessories, manuals, and documentation intact.
  • 2.3. Proof of Purchase: The Purchaser must present a valid, original proof of purchase (e.g., official receipt or sales invoice).
  • 2.4. Restocking Fee: All approved voluntary returns shall be subject to a twenty percent (20%) restocking fee, which will be deducted from the final refund amount.

The Company reserves the right to refuse any voluntary return that does not meet these criteria upon inspection. The final determination of the Product’s condition rests solely with authorized BRILUMD personnel.

Article 3: Returns for Defective or Non-Conforming Products

Pursuant to R.A. 7394, Products that are confirmed to be defective, damaged upon receipt, or otherwise non-conforming with the specified quality or features shall be eligible for repair, replacement, or refund.

  • 3.1. Reporting Period: Any such defect, damage, or non-conformity shall be reported to the Company or its authorized seller within seven (7) calendar days of receipt. The report must include a detailed description and photographic evidence of the issue.
  • 3.2. Remedies: Upon verification of the defect, the Company shall, in accordance with consumer rights, offer a repair, a replacement with an identical or equivalent product, or a full refund, including any shipping costs incurred by the Purchaser.

Article 4: Non-Returnable Items and Conditions

The following items or conditions render a Product ineligible for return or refund:

  • Products damaged due to negligence, misuse, accident, improper installation, or non-compliance with the product manual.
  • Products that have been altered, modified, or repaired by unauthorized personnel.
  • Consumable items (e.g., batteries), if applicable.
  • Products explicitly sold as “Clearance” or “Final Sale.”
  • Returns attempted beyond the stipulated eligibility period.

Article 5: Return Authorization and Procedure

Initiation: To initiate a return, the Purchaser shall contact the BRILUMD Customer Support team or the authorized distributor from which the purchase was made.

Authorization: A Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number will be issued upon preliminary approval. This number is mandatory for processing all returns.

Packaging: The Purchaser is responsible for securely packing the Product in its original packaging.

Shipment: The RMA number must be clearly marked on the exterior of the return shipment. The Company shall not be liable for any returned Products lost or damaged in transit.

Refusal: Products returned without a valid RMA number, outside the eligibility period, or in a non-compliant condition may be refused and returned to the sender at their expense.

Article 6: Refund and Exchange Process

6.1. Inspection: All returned Products are subject to inspection and verification by the Company.

6.2. Refunds: Approved refunds will be processed to the original method of payment within fourteen (14) business days following satisfactory inspection. Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable, except as stipulated in Article 3.2.

6.3. Exchanges: Exchanges for identical products are subject to stock availability. Should an identical item be unavailable, the Company may offer an equivalent product, subject to the Purchaser’s approval, or process a full refund.

Article 7: Warranty Claims

This Return & Refund Policy is distinct from and does not supersede the BRILUMD® Limited Warranty Policy. Claims related to product defects discovered outside the initial 7-day reporting period shall be processed under the terms of the applicable warranty.

Article 9: Policy Amendments

The Company reserves the right to amend or modify this Policy at its sole discretion, without prior notice. The updated Policy will be posted on the official BRILUMD website and shall be effective immediately upon posting.
